melecwi: creativeinspiration: emaborborygmi: A guy that works at PBS received this letter from 5-year-old Noah, containing a request for a new show along with some start-up capital. Here’s PBS’ answer. When a tv channel listens and not only talks. via Luv! Nice job PBS! They are great.  PBS is among the only quality programming stations America’s got. Example: They ran Wallace and...

How a Gentleman Cooks Breakfast →
kateoplis: You may think that a fried breakfast is something that doesn’t need a recipe but I guarantee that if you follow this one you’ll never regret it.  1. Wake up in a Georgian country house with a hangover of biblical proportions. Slide your arm from beneath the slender alabaster neck of the recumbent debutante and silently pick your way through the detritus of last night’s party to the...

zwischenfischen replied to your post: -16°F What are these arctic temperatures?! Sounds like something from Day After Tomorrow. Leave your pets inside and give shelter to the homeless. (And I appreciate your commitment to Celsius, dear Sir.) It usually happens here every year. A couple really cold days and then back up above zero again....

LEGOs in the chamber: You can just make out the glow of the plasma: Seeding some HeLa cells on top. I’m going to let these grow for a few weeks so they nice and disgusting. Still waiting for my DNA to arrive and then I will start creating...

Lenore Skenazy is awesome. People don’t understand that they are fearing such a small part of the population. I child is something like 20 times more likely to be abducted or abused by a family member or someone the family knows (friend, coworker, etc.) than a stranger. And no one considers how women are also likely (though slightly less likely) to do something.
